This might become just as much a music blog thing as an adventuring one. But first I have to say I'm so wired tonight.. a deadly combination of sleeping in late and something like 6-ish cups of coffee today. I stopped drinking coffee about a month ago, but here it is in my life again, like a bad fucking cold. I think a walk is in order after this, I'd normally go for a bike ride but it's busted up at the moment. Need to steal me some new parts to fix her up.

On to the muzak...

Today I'm pleased to say I found a pretty cool blues-rock band for the summer. First thing I did when I woke up this afternoon was walk over to the local record store, and by store I mean attic (literally, some dude's attic). It's called the Orange Monkey, and to anyone in Waterloo, it is an awesome attic - check it out now. Anyways, the band's called Carney, and if I had to assign them a desk in the classroom of rock acts, I'd sit them down somewhere between Led Zeppelin and The White Stripes. The members are apparently all pretty young, and their only release so far is only 4 tracks long, but it's only left me wanting to hear more from them.

Also watched a movie called In Bruges tonight. It was a funny-thriller british movie about two hitmen hiding out in Belgium, kinda reminded me of the movie Snatch in some ways. It's got my recommendation, enjoy.
