It's fucking raining out man, something serious.. and I just see now my window has a hole in it OH OH ITS SEEPING IN. Bah stupid rain can't hurt me! But it is dripping on my power bar.. Pfft what do I care if it WHOA LIGHTNING
Anywho, before going any further, watch this video. This band, God is an Astronaut, hails from Ireland, and are one of the best post-rock outfits I've come across in my muzak travels.
So maybe I'm a bit aggressive today, I did horribly on my exam today haha. Wasn't worth a whole lot anyways, so no biggie. I got my interview for a potential job thursday, so you know what that means: If I get it, no Iceland boogie :-( I'm really sad about it, but at the same time it's a pretty awesome job. It's with the space agency and I'd be living in Montreal with a bud. Gotta sacrifice sometimes, and besides I'm just postponing Iceland til 2009 or 10 I guess. I'll keep you guys posted on what happens.
So people who own hybrids are losers, I'm sorry to anyone of my friends who own hybrids (ya right lol) or to their parents, but you're parents are losers. AND NOT BECAUSE THEY CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT. Let's get thats straight right now, I dont hate hate mother earth and I don't hate people who do their part to save the planet blah blah blah. What I do hate is how hybrid drivers think they're in some sorta fancy club and act all high and mighty whenever theyre in the presence of someone who's driving something not-so-fuel-efficient. (I know I didn't need hypens, I do what I want ok) They all wave to eachother and have to ackknoledge eachother's presence. They are all whiny tree huggers who act like snobs to regular folk. Some of you might even have seen the south park episode that covered this topic...
And it's not even so much every type of hybrid as it is Prius owners. You know who you are, so fuck off! Ok so at this point you think I'm going way overboard right? WRONG. I searched around a Prius site and found this comment left by a douchebag that embodies exactly what I've been saying.
" The gasoline engine of the Prius is a marvel of engineering and efficiency. My family owns 3 Priuses(?) and we definitely can say that driving these vehicles, which are rated PZEV (Partial Zero Emission Vehicle), makes a significant difference in OUR personal contribution to pollution due to vehicle emissions. We feel GREAT about that. If every multi-car family had just one car like the Prius for running errands and commuting to work or school, our dependence on foreign oil could potentially be eliminated.
This is merely one aspect of how we choose to live our lives. We aggresively recycle, buy organic whenever possible, and try NOT to live "disposable". I realize that simply being on this Earth means I contribute to polluting it, but I can say I am doing it far less than most people. "
I know he means well.. but 3 Priuses??? WTF who is this dude?! Anyways if you still disagree with me and see nothing fucked about that comment, that's fine maybe I am out of touch. At the risk of sounding like Cartman, I hate tree hugging hippies and I think they should be nuked. ADIOS!
